Description

The Bellamy Brothers are a pop and country music duo from Pasco County, Florida. The duo consists of brothers Homer Howard Bellamy (born February 2, 1946) and David Milton Bellamy (born September 16, 1950). Their music is defined as country pop, country rock, soft rock, and southern rock. From an early age, the two brothers were inspired by many musical sources. Their father was a member of a local Western swing band, and their sister used to play rock and roll music as well. The duo learned how to play banjo, guitar, and mandolin. David also learned fiddle, organ, accordion, and piano. Some of the early singles by the duo are "If I Said You Had a Beautiful Body Would You Hold It Against Me," "Do You Love as Good as You Look," and "You Ain't Just Whistlin' Dixie." The Bellamy Brothers released several notable albums to date, such as Plain & Fancy, Beautiful Friends, The Two and Only, When We Were Boys, Crazy from the Heart, Beggars, and Heroes.
